North Carolina

Two weekends ago we went to North Carolina for the weekend to celebrate Rachel and Ryan's wedding and visit Michael and Claire.  Jacob loved the airplane, we had lots of fun with Michael and Claire, and Rachel looked gorgeous!  We missed the snow by a day but when we arrived Friday there were still a few signs of it.  The weather for the weekend was beautiful and although chilly was quite refreshing.  We went to the park, walked around their neighborhood, took Jacob to Marbles Children's Museum in downtown Raleigh, ate dinner in a train car in Chapel Hill and enjoyed thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway.   I haven't downloaded the pictures from my phone yet but here a few from the other cameras.

This picture makes me laugh every time I look at it!  Jacob needed a little boost, Uncle Michael helped.

Jacob was 17months, 4 weeks today and the weekly email I got from "Babycenter" was spot on.  Meltdown and language explosions and lots of cuddles.  He is so much fun and is becoming more imaginative and talking more everyday.  Unfortunately he's had a cough and runny nose since the 17th and yesterday woke up from nap with a fever.  This morning it was higher so we went to the pediatrician and he is now on antibiotics for a sinus infection.  I'm thankful for the tubes though because #1, these are the first oral antibiotics since getting them (3 months), and #2, it has now been almost two weeks since his last ear infection!  So, it's lot of cuddles for Jacob this week and hopefully a quick recovery so we can enjoy the fun weekend we have celebrating Jessie's graduation from flight surgery training in Pensacola.
