Happy Thanksgiving!
One year ago today we found out we were having Jacob, and today we have so much to be thankful for! We had a great day with family, enjoying the great weather and eating delicious food. Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Love, Hannah, Mark, Jacob and Bailey
Jacob was out-weighted by the turkey this year by a few pounds. We couldn't stick him in it (like we did the pumpkin) so we snapped a quick picture next to it. :-)

A Morning Conversation with Jacob
This is a link to a video of my morning conversation with Jacob today. He is still the very happiest in the morning and as you can tell is gaining quite the voice. Good morning everyone!

Do you think these two are related?
After Jacob was born both of our parents gave us copies of some of our baby pictures to compare. I've been meaning to do a blog post with all of our baby pictures. (I'll get around to that eventually.). Yesterday Mark's Mom emailed me another picture that she found and I had to post it. Do you think they're related? :-)
A Birthday, Visitors and other happenings

I think I start all of my posts out by saying . . . it's been too long and I'm behind on posting. So, let's see if I can catch up to present day before I have more to blog about.
A quick Jacob update first. He is teething this week and quite uncomfortable, I feel so bad for the little guy. He's drooling everywhere, sticking anything he can hold onto in his mouth, which isn't much right now other than his own hands. He's also been very clingy which has been fun for Mommy, he doesn't want to be put down. Other than the teething, he's a happy, growing boy. I weighed him on Tuesday at my mother's luncheon at the hospital and he was 15lbs, 8oz. He still loves the color blue, loves playing on his activity mat, and loves being outside. His favorite book is "Little Blue Truck", and he talks to us more and more everyday! His favorite toy is a yellow calf we've name Elsie, she can make him smile even when he's screaming. He still doesn't like tummy time and usually either cries or rolls over when we try to put him on his tummy to play; he's much prefer to sit or stand with our help. Jacob also starting sucking his thumb a lot more over the last week, I think a lot of it has to do with his teething so we'll see if he continues once that subsides.
Jacob and Elsie (his little yellow calf friend). I imagine there will be a whole blog post about the two of them.

Last weekend my brother and parents came to visit. Jacob had a great time meeting Uncle Henry and loved all of the attention from my parents (now known as "Beep" and "Pops"). We went to Manatee Springs, the LaChua Trail, had a picnic lunch at Daddy's work, went to the FL Museum of Natural History, and on Saturday walked around the Fall Arts Festival in downtown Gainesville.

Hanging out with Beep at the Art Festival
Talking to Beep and Pops at the Art FestivalThis weekend our good friends Suzanne and Megan are coming to visit on Saturday, and we can't wait for them to meet Jacob. Then on Sunday we have a Thanksgiving Dinner with a big group of families who have babies around Jacob's age (the same group we had the Halloween Picnic with). Mark's cooking the turkey :-).
I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week, where does time go?! Paul, Susie, Scott and Maureen arrive next Wednesday so by the time November is over Jacob will be spoiled rotten from all of his visitors! :-)
Happy Thursday everyone!

14 Weeks
Jacob is 14 weeks old today and he spent it with his Uncle Henry and my parents. We took a picnic lunch to Daddy's work but had to end it early because of the weather. Then, Jacob took his first trip "out of town". We went to Manatee Springs for the afternoon. It was beautiful there, as usual and very quiet. Here's a picture of Jacob and Mommy at the springs.

Jacob Rolled Over
We were Skyping with Aunt Claire and Uncle Michael tonight and decided to show them how Jacob is doing on "tummy time". Instead of showing them that, Jacob decided to show us all how he could roll over. We put him on his tummy, he pushed up and rolled over. After we all overcame our shock we put him back on his tummy and he did it again . . . and then, we put him back and he did it again! :-) We were too excited to take pictures or a video but hopefully he'll do it again tomorrow and I'll be able to document it.
