Jacob was 2 months old on Saturday. He had his 2 month check up at the doctor on Friday and got his first set of shots which made him very tired! He slept for almost 2 days straight and then made up for it by waking up 3-4 times a night. We're hoping that he'll transition back to a better night time routine shortly. He smiles a laughs at us all the time now, especially in the mornings. Every morning for the last week he's been laying in his crib with a huge grin on his face when I go get him in the morning. There isn't a better alarm clock in the world! It amazes me how much he changes every day!
I am trying to keep an update of his current stats on the right side of the blog but here they are as well:
11lbs, 5.4 oz
23.5 inches long
During the past week he has:
- Become much more aware of and interested in his surroundings.
- Discovered his hands and tried desperately to shove them in his mouth many times a day
- Noticed his feet a few times when he was wearing bright colored socks
- Become very interested in other people (and babies) at the mother's luncheon I attend on Tuesdays.
- Become quite the snuggler with Mommy.
- Shown us that he REALLY REALLY likes being outside!
- Become even better at holding his head up on his own.
We are enjoying the wonderful Fall weather that arrived last weekend. We've had the windows open for a few days and love the fresh (and not very humid) Fall air. We're enjoying lots of walks and time outside in the back yard. Today we're going to meet Daddy for lunch and have a picnic in the garden at his work.
Here are a few pictures of our growing little boy.
Relaxing during tummy time
Working really hard on those neck muscles
Really working on those hands!
I LOVE this picture!
Our little leprechaun on his 2 month birthday.
The yummy apple pie Mark made for Jacob's "birthday"
Happy boy in his bouncy seat . . . kicking away. He loves to sit in this, or lay on a blanket and kick. He must run miles every day doing this!
