Evan Jack Siburt
Evan Jack Siburt was born on January 5, 2016. He weighed 7lbs, 13oz and was 21 inches long. His arrival was much different from Jacobs. Evan's due date was January 4th but he seemed quite comfortable in my belly (just like his older brother). Mommy on the other hand was very ready for him to arrive! We went to my 40 week doctor's appointment the morning of the 5th and after an ultrasound and non-stress test they decided to induce me because my fluid levels were a bit low. So, we took the elevator two floors down to labor and delivery and the rest is history. They started my IV and the pitocin at noon. The first few hours were pretty slow so we read, watched HGTV and even did some last minute work. Before my doctor left work for the day she came to see how I was doing and broke my water and that's when the fun began. That was at 5pm; by 6pm I had my (much needed) epidural, and after only 26 minutes of pushing Evan was born at 8:33pm. Mark and I were both a little shocked that it really could happen that quickly after the very long labor and delivery process we went through with Jacob. Evan came out bright eyed and hungry and spent the next 6 hours eating and taking in his new world. (Not much has changed in his first 6 weeks). We were so fortunate to have Beep came to stay with us after Christmas so she was here to help with Jacob when we were in the hospital and we could just enjoy our new little man. The next morning she brought a VERY excited Jacob to the hospital to meet his baby brother. It was obvious love at first sight . . . or maybe even before. Jacob is so in love with Evan and wants to hold him and kiss him and know what he's doing all the time! That's it for now. More on life with two little boys very soon.
