Jacob is walking!

It's official, Jacob is walking!  This evening he was walking everywhere around the house.  We've known this has been coming for a few weeks now but I still can't really believe it.   It was very appropriate timing as we got the new shoes I ordered for him in the mail today.  Today he walked around the kitchen carrying a box.  He walked from our bedroom all the way down the hallway to the kitchen, and he walked circles around the living room.  Oh my! We've gotten a few videos but they are only small clips and don't really show how much he's walking.   Hopefully we can get some good videos this weekend.

In other Jacob news he started eating peaches this week, and he's officially transitioned over to whole milk during the day.  This probably means little to most of you and is quite insignificant compared to his new walking skills but it's a big deal in Jacob world!  He now has a list of 3, yes 3 fruits he'll eat.  Fresh raspberries and blueberries and now peaches.  We're excited to have fruit options that won't break out piggy bank now too :-).  The milk transition has been a bigger struggle than I anticipated but he's seemed to turned the corner in the last two days.   He's been drinking it very inconsistently and usually not drinking very much.  We've tried bottles and multiple types and styles of sippy cup.  The ones I bought this weekend seem to have done the trick at least for now so we'll be buying more of those this weekend!

Hopefully we'll have some walking videos and fun pictures to post from Labor Day weekend.  In the meantime enjoy these few clips of Jacob on the move.
