Ready Ready Ready Ready . . . . .

Ready to Run. All I'm ready to do is have some fun . . .

We got new running shoes this weekend and we're ready to run! We are registered to run in Disney's Race for Taste 10K on October 11th and in the mean time have been running in some 5Ks in Gainesville. Two weeks ago Mark ran in the "Dog Days 5K" and this weekend we're running a race called the Yerman run, in honor of a fallen policemen.

Go Gators!

This weekend we went to our first football game of the season. Florida played Tennessee and it was a game that's been talked up for months! We tailgated with Brittany and Bobby, then tried to avoid heat stroke during the game. It was SO HOT! The Gators won (although it wasn't the most exciting game). I've decided that I'm getting older though, my patience for drunk, inconsiderate students is declining steadily! We had a good time, but hope the official start of Fall brings cooler weather! Here are a few pictures from the game.

I see this way too often . . . so I thought I'd share it with the rest of you :-)

We're ready for Fall and Football!

This weekend we re-did part of the back yard and planted some Fall flowers. We decided to make our vegetable garden smaller and in doing so we made room to plant our orange tree and some grass seed to make a bigger back yard. We also replaced the flowers in our flower box and hanging basket, and planted some azaleas. In preparation for the start of football season, we planted a Florida themed hanging basket and Virginia Tech themed flower box. Below are a few picture. Bailey was obviously a big help :-)

First Day of School (Again)

Monday(8/24) was my first day of school (again). Even though I've been enrolled in the PhD program for a year now and have slowly been doing research and trying to find time for a class or two, it hasn't really been my focus. Now it is . . . no more clinic. It's full force classwork and research. So, here's my first day of school picture(that Mark insisted on), and a picture of Mark very enthusiastic to go to work Monday morning. If I had a copy of my first day of Kindergarten picture I'd put them side by side :-) Here's to the last few years of my schooling!
